In Nursery we have been practising counting to 20 while we do different actions, such as jumping, star jumps, claps, etc. The children love this and are very enthusiastic (and noisy) counters!
We have learnt a new counting rhyme:
1, 2, scooby dooby doo
3, 4, knocking on the door
5, 6, doing magic tricks
7, 8 stop and wait (pause)
9, 10, lets do it all again!
Please encourage and support your children with their counting at home - count everything! I hope you enjoy doing the rhyme.
Hi this is Keiras mummy Jackie. I am really impressed with this blog, what a really nice idea to share the children's days at school. I am really looking forward to coming to the harvest festival on Friday and listening to "combine harvester and conkers!" Keira loves all the singing and I now know the scooby dooby doo song off by heart!
